PROF. DR. SEZCAN MÜMÜŞOĞLU

ÖZGEÇMİŞ

Profesör Dr. Sezcan Mümüşoğlu, 1999 yılında Türkiye'deki Üniversite Giriş Sınavı'nda 1,2 milyondan fazla başvuru arasından ilk 50 öğrenci arasında yer alarak Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'ni kazandı. 2005 yılında fakülte birincisi olarak mezun oldu. Dr. Mümüşoğlu, 2005-2010 yılları arasında yine Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı’nda uzmanlık eğitimini tamamladı.

Zorunlu hizmet yükümlülüğünü Bitlis Tatvan Devlet Hastanesi’nde tamamladıktan sonra Bursa Zübeyde Hanım Doğumevi ve İstanbul Zeynep Kamil Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Jinekolojik Onkoloji Ünitesi’nde çalışarak ileri düzey jinekolojik endoskopik cerrahiler konusunda deneyimini artırdı.

2014 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı’na öğretim görevlisi olarak geri döndü ve burada “üremeye yardımcı tedavi yöntemleri” eğitimini tamamladı.

2015-2016 yılları arasında Harvard Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi tarafından verilen “Introduction to Clinical Research and Training (ICRT)” eğitim programını tamamlayarak klinik epidemiyoloji ve istatistik konusunda sertifika almaya hak kazandı.

2016 yılında Japonya’da bulunan St. Marianna Üniversitesi’nde, erken yumurtalık yetmezliği tedavisinde yeni bir yöntem olan “in-vitro aktivasyon (IVA)” konusunda, tekniğin yaratıcısı Prof. Dr. Kazuhiro Kawamura’dan eğitim aldı.

2018 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde Doçentlik kadrosuna atanan Dr. Mümüşoğlu, 2018 ve 2019 yılları arasında, Stanford Üniversitesi'nde dünyaca ünlü over fizyoloğu Profesör Aaron Hsueh’nun laboratuvarında araştırmacı olarak çalıştı. Stanford Üniversitesi'nde bulunduğu esnada, polikistik over sendromunun patofizyolojisi üzerine yaptığı çalışmalardan biri TÜBİTAK (Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu) tarafından desteklenmiştir.

2024 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesinde Profesörlük kadrosuna atanan Dr. Mümüşoğlu. Şu anda, Anatolia Tüp Bebek ve Kadın Sağlığı Merkezi partneridir. Dr. Mümüşoğlu’nun özel ilgi alanları şunlardır:

  • Tüp bebek tedavileri,
  • Erken yumurtalık yetmezliği ve azalmış yumurtalık rezervi durumları, üremenin korunması,
  • Endometriozis, endometrioma (çikolata kistleri) tedavisi ve takibi,
  • Laparoskopik ve histeroskopik ameliyatlar,
  • Polikistik over sendromu (PKOS).

Bu konularda uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanmış 50’den fazla makalesi bulunmaktadır. Uluslararası kitaplarda 4 bölüm yazarlığı olan Profesör Mümüşoğlu, dünyanın pek çok yerinde çok sayıda uluslararası konferansa davetli konuşmacı olarak katılmıştır.

Ocak 2020'den bu yana üreme endokrinolojisi ve infertilite alanının en saygın dergilerinden biri olan “Human Reproduction” da yardımcı editörlük görevini sürdürmektedir. Profesör Mümüşoğlu, 2021 yılından bu yana Üreme Sağlığı Derneği Yönetim Kurulu’ndadır ve 2023 yılından bu yana Avrupa Üreme Sağlığı ve Embriyoloji Derneği'nde (ESHRE) Türkiye temsilcisidir.

Evli ve iki çocuk babasıdır.
